Privacy and cookies

This website is operated by Grant Tinney. For questions about your information, email grant@granttinney.com.
Your analytics choice
Google Analytics 4 is optional. Its Google tag is blocked until you select Accept analytics. Reject analytics leaves it blocked, and the website still works. Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any public page to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawing stops future analytics collection and removes this website’s accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase information Google has already received.
A first-party preference cookie, gt_analytics_consent_v1, remembers accepted or rejected for six months across granttinney.com and seo.granttinney.com. It does not contain your name, email address or a unique visitor identifier. We use it to honour your choice.
What optional analytics measures
If you accept, Google Analytics receives information about page visits, campaign links, browser and device characteristics, and interactions such as clicking a booking or email link. Google processes connection information including your IP address as part of collection. Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_NTDFKMKRCC, distinguish browsers and sessions; this installation requests a six-month cookie lifetime.
The website’s custom events record page views, restaurant-service link clicks, booking-link clicks, email-link clicks and opening an enquiry email draft. A booking click is not a completed appointment, and opening an email draft is not a sent enquiry. We do not include your name, email address, message text or recipient identifiers in our custom events. Campaign labels must describe the campaign, not individual recipients.
This installation requests that advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and Google Signals remain disabled. Google Analytics account settings also affect what is collected. Google Analytics is provided by Google and information may be processed outside the UK, subject to Google’s applicable terms and safeguards. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Contacting me and booking a call
Email links and the sales enquiry form open your email application. The form does not itself send or store an enquiry on this website. If you send an email, I receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive information you do not need to share.
Book a call links open Google Calendar. Google’s privacy information and controls apply when you use that service. The website does not receive confirmation of a booking through the click event.
Hosting and the private editor
The website is hosted using OpenAI Sites. Hosting and security services process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. The private article editor uses sign-in and access controls. Google Analytics is not installed on editor, sign-in, API or private-preview pages.
Business introductions
I may contact relevant people at limited companies about my consultancy services. I use business information from public company websites, business-managed directory and trade-association listings, and public restaurant listings, including Shuffle listings. I may also use public company registers and licensing records to check business details. This may include your name, business role, work contact details, company name, website and the source of the information. A public listing does not mean you have endorsed my services.
I use this information to assess whether an introduction is relevant, send limited business-to-business correspondence, respond to replies and manage objections. My data-protection basis is legitimate interests in offering relevant services to businesses, balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations. I do not treat a publicly available address as consent. This corporate-outreach approach is not used for sole traders or other individual subscribers without an appropriate separate basis under the electronic-marketing rules.
I review unresponsive prospect records after six months and delete information that is no longer needed. Information still needed for an active enquiry, customer relationship or legal obligation is reviewed separately. If you object, I stop direct marketing and retain only the minimum information needed on a do-not-contact list to respect your request.
You can object to direct marketing at any time, free of charge, by replying to an email or contacting grant@granttinney.com. You may also ask about the source of your details or exercise the rights described below. Business-contact records are processed through the email and working-record services I use to manage correspondence.
Your choices and questions
You can reject or withdraw optional analytics at any time using Cookie settings. You can also delete cookies in your browser. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. Contact me to ask about the information I hold or to raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
